Apex In Action - Q3 Project Highlights

Here’s what we’ve been working on with Walmart, HEB, and Costco

Before we dive headfirst into sweater weather, let’s take a moment to look back at what we've been up to this past quarter.

From supporting our partners with emergency exits to managing complex remodels, Apex’s custom solutions have ensured our clients get exactly what they need to maintain and grow their multi-site brands.

Here’s a quick look at some recent highlights from Q4 of 2024:

Walmart: Prioritizing Safety with Emergency Exits

In March 2024, Walmart turned to Apex to install egress doors across 38 stores in 12 states, improving the safety of their employees and customers by providing quick access to parking lot exits in case of emergencies.

We completed these projects in just eight days, working overnight to minimize disruption to operations. These efforts have helped Walmart take a proactive approach to store safety, ensuring everyone in their stores is prepared for any unexpected situations.

HEB: Expanding In-Store Pharmacies

We partnered with HEB to refresh and expand their in-store pharmacies, adding new points of sale, workstations, and more space for staff to reduce customer wait times. And of course, we added new exterior finishes and signage packages because who doesn’t love a little facelift?

HEB: “Center Store” Remodel

HEB asked us to tackle their “Center Store” area in San Antonio, Texas, too. We designed a custom program, coordinated with a battalion of client-supplied vendors, and got to work repainting walls and constructing headwalls.

We also teamed up with their signage vendors to install a shiny new signage package. This project is still in progress, but we’re eager to see the final result – a completely upgraded interior with a brand-new color scheme and signage to match.

Costco: Refreshing Food Courts with Turn-Key Services

If there’s one thing we can all agree on, it’s that Costco’s food courts are a national treasure. And when these spaces needed a refresh, they called on Apex to get the job done.

Currently, we’re working on five projects for Costco, handling all general contracting services from start to finish. Each project involves installing new pizza ovens, replacing kitchen equipment, updating wall finishes, and applying new epoxy flooring. Coordinating deliveries and vendors while phasing out the project to ensure minimal disruption. Put simply, we’re taking care of everything so Costco’s hungry shoppers can keep getting their beloved pizza slices and churros without missing a beat.
