Celebrating The Women of Apex
Honoring the pivotal contribution women have made in shaping
Apex Imaging Services
Some may not realize, but Apex is actually a woman-owned business and certified member of the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council. That’s why as we celebrate Women in Construction Week, we’re excited to take a moment to recognize and honor the women who play a pivotal role in shaping Apex Imaging Services.
At Apex, our success would not be possible without the dedication, resilience, and vision of the women who have contributed to driving our company forward.
“If you don’t have a relationship with your employees and clients along with an interest in their lives, you miss a chance to develop something that lasts a long time,” says President, Katie Hargrave, whose leadership has fostered a close-knit and dedicated team.
The contribution of women has also evolved the way we approach business growth. Director of Business Development, Evelyn Zuniga, who started with Apex in what was meant to be a temporary role, understands the importance of adaptability in a fast-paced industry. “When I got to the end of my initial 3-month temp position, I was hooked. I appreciated that the culture was fast-paced and had an exciting plan to grow. I didn’t want to miss out on that,” she recalls thinking during her early days at the company.
She adds, “After being a project coordinator for a period of time, I expressed the desire to operate in a more creative capacity aligned with my strengths and was moved into a role I’ve really enjoyed. I think that's something our leaders have done well, finding people’s strengths and making a place for them to shine”. Evelyn’s vision and enthusiasm have propelled her into a leadership role where she shapes Apex’s brand and partnerships.
Women have also contributed significantly to our value for operational excellence -, ensuring efficiency and quality in everything we do. “Operational excellence should be a living, breathing process, something that we adjust on a daily basis to ensure we are more efficient, effective, and productive,” says Hermien Bezuidenhout, Director of Operations. Her commitment to continuous improvement has helped streamline Apex’s processes and elevate client experiences.
As the industry evolves, so does Apex. We’re embracing new technology, innovative project management strategies, and a commitment to client satisfaction. “We can’t lose that spirit of being crafty, of being nifty. That’s something that will continue to propel us,” says Evelyn, emphasizing the importance of agility and creativity in construction.
At Apex Imaging Services, we are proud to celebrate and support the talented women who drive our company’s success.
This Women in Construction Week, we honor and thank all the women who contribute to Apex’s mission and the mission of our clients. Their dedication, leadership, and vision prove that the future of construction is not just bright—it’s diverse, dynamic, and driven by extraordinary women.
